ESL has revealed the playoff schedule for the ESL Pro League, G2 will start in the upper part of the draw against BIG, after which they will potentially face 3DMAX and then MOUZ, while the favorites FaZe, Na'Vi and Vitality will meet in the lower part of the draw.
Natus Vincere's loss to Complexity in the match for first place in Group D complicated the playoff draw and created a situation where the big three teams would have to meet before the semi-finals. FaZe Clan will start the playoffs against Monte, if they win they will face Na'Vi, and the winner of that match will face Vitality in the quarterfinals.
In the upper part of the draw, as we have already mentioned, G2 will play the first match against the BIG team, which they regularly beat in the previous meetings of these teams, which is why they enter the match as huge favorites. If they triumph, they will face 3DMAX, who took advantage of a favorable draw to reach second place in Group A.
The winner of that duel goes to MOUZ in the quarterfinals, which potentially brings us another derby between G2 and MOUZ. Let's remind, G2 celebrated in the quarter-finals of the PGL Copenhagen Major, but MOUZ got revenge at the IEM Chengdu 2024 tournament.
In the next quarter of the draw, GamerLegion and Virtus.pro will battle it out for the chance to play The MongolZ, with the most successful of these teams awaiting Complexity.
In the remaining part of the draw, FlyQuest and BetBoom start, whoever wins goes to Team Liquid, and the next rival will be Astralis.
After tomorrow's break, the ESL Pro League playoffs will start on May 7, with broadcast on Arena Esport YouTube and TV channel.
The playoff opens with the match G2 - BIG, which is scheduled for May 7 from 16:15 with the already mentioned broadcast. At the same time, GamerLegion and Virtus.pro will play, and after that, the remaining two matches of the top 16 stage, BetBoom and FlyQuest, or FaZe and Monte, will be played.
