Perkz is taking a break from competing in LoL esports

The most successful esports player from the region, Croatian LoL player Luka "Perkz" Perković, announced that he will take a break from competitive LoL in the rest of the season, until he comes to a conclusion on whether he wants to continue competing.

One of Europe's most successful LoL players has explained why he's not enjoying what he's doing right now. Perkz explained that he realized that he was playing solely to qualify for international tournaments, MSI and the World Championship, and that he did not enjoy the competition process itself, which reflected in the quality of his play.

Perkz, who has eight European championship titles, one American championship title and one MSI trophy, was four times in the All-Star team of the EU LCS/LEC league during his career, and in 2016 he was named the rookie of the season.

He made his name playing for G2 where he spent five years, and after a year spent in the NA LCS league where he played for Cloud9 he returns to Europe where he was a member of Vitality for two years. He arrived at Team Heretics at the end of last year, and after last season he was removed from the first team, allegedly due to a dispute with the organization's management.
